Typical Boot camps are good at lightening your wallet.
I’m gonna expose some home truths in the fitness world. This may hit home hard to boot camp go’ers and also likely to piss off some trainers.
Usually, one would pay a premium to stay in a big group away from home, eating right and exercising every day for a week to lose weight. Of course this works as you will lose weight very fast but this isn’t sustainable at all.
It doesnt teach good eating habits. One week is not long enough to make a radical lifestyle change. You cannot force a brand new lifestyle overnight, you need to adapt over time so the body accepts
Dropping a lot of weight fast is no good long term. Metabolism normally crashes making it hard to get off that stubborn fat or to carry on losing weight at any rate whatsoever.
Crash dieting is a recipe for disaster when it comes to losing body feat. The human body is very precise and likes to achieve balance. So when you lose alot of weight very quickly your body will try its hardest to return to its set point (your pre diet weight) and will slow down your metabolism because your calories were dropped too fast.
At BEST you can hope is that weight loss will stall and you wont regain any fat but most likely you will REGAIN all the fat ou lost as soon as you eat a normal diet again. Smaller changes over time will always produce the best results, you need to coax the fat off your body, it didnt appear over night and sure as hell won’t disappear over night either.
Its expensive. One week boot camp can cost thousands of pounds. Typical price £1500 for ONE WEEK! For the same price you could get a YEARS worth of personal training.
How much more fat could you burn in a year compared to a week? You wont be left to your own devices after one week. I will be there supporting you every step of the way, and every time fat loss stalls as it always does I will guide you through how to over come your fat loss obstacles.
Most people that are interested in boot camps generallly enquire because they need that kick up the arse for motivation. So how are you gonna succeed for the other 51 weeks of the year after your boot camp?
Awesome business model but terrible for your Weight loss success. Don’t thow your money away and stop the yo-yo weight loss madness!
If you prefer group training then why not get a few of your friends together sign up for a long term personal training plan and watch the fat melt away for good!
